Saint-Julien and its villages
A small Drôme village set in meadows at the foot of the cliffs. This is where the chalet is.

Saint-Julien-en-Vercors
Saint-Julien is a village of about 260 people, at around 900 m, with hamlets scattered across the meadows. Few houses, little traffic: it's a quiet place.
Above the village rises the wall of cliffs. The Vierge du Vercors, a rock needle, can be seen from the road. A Park walk leads past the Moulin Marquis to the Porte du Diable, a natural rock arch.

Pont-en-Royans and Choranche
Pont-en-Royans is known for its colourful houses hanging above the Bourne. On the way, you can take a guided tour of the Choranche cave.
To get there, you drive down the Bourne gorges, on a road cut into the cliff.

Villard, Corrençon, Autrans-Méaudre
Villard-de-Lans, 15 km away, is the plateau's main resort. Corrençon, at 1,111 m, sits at the entrance to the Hauts-Plateaux reserve. Autrans hosted the Nordic skiing events of the 1968 Olympic Games.

La Chapelle, Vassieux, Saint-Agnan
The southern Vercors keeps the memory of 1944. In La Chapelle-en-Vercors, the Cour des fusillés recalls 25 July 1944. Vassieux-en-Vercors, a Compagnon de la Libération, is home to the Resistance Memorial. See the Vercors in a nutshell.
