Cross-country skiing at Herbouilly
The Herbouilly Nordic area is very close to the chalet.

153 km of linked trails
Herbouilly is part of the Haut-Vercors Nordic area. Its cross-country trails link up with the Hauts-Plateaux gateway at Corrençon and the Bois Barbu gateway at Villard-de-Lans: 153 km in all.
The Nordic Pass Vercors covers Herbouilly, Villard, Corrençon and Autrans-Méaudre. Full 2026-2027 prices are on the skiing page.

Snowshoes, sledges, sleighs
Snowshoe routes range from 3 to 30 km. There's also a two-level sledging run, a footpath, horse-drawn sleigh rides and dog sledding.
With children, see sledging and cross-country skiing for families. At the chalet, you can also sledge at the bottom of the garden when there's snow.

The stove and the whirlpool bath
When you get back, there's the stove in the living room and the whirlpool bath upstairs. The fondue and raclette sets are in the kitchen.

Walking and mountain biking
Without snow, it's great for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. Children have the Filambule, nets strung between the trees, and the Chevalier Oscar trail.
An easy loop of about 6.5 km leads there from Saint-Martin, and the Belvédère des Chaumes looks out over the whole plain. See all our ideas for days out around the chalet.
Is the Nordic area far?
